@npr.org points out that business owners, to avoid paying workers adequately, are pressuring customers to tip for traditionally untapped services … while waitstaff, who *do* have artificially lowered wages based on expectations of tipped income, are themselves reporting a 10% decrease in tips. 🤦‍♀️
