No PA or OH jury would convict you

Hey, that's my congressperson! Can indeed confirm he's not real bright but definitely IS a piece of crap. One thing I will give him credit for is he hangs out locally more than most House members. Definitely makes him easier to heckle and protest.

At one point they cut to a shot of the announcers and I swear that one dude was Bill Hader doing a character.

Every socket is an impact socket if you just believe.

A fancy customized pickup just drove by me with a big logo on the side that said “MEGABASS” but the logo was just text and I really think they need to throw a picture of a speaker or a fish in there to avoid confusion.

They looked abnormally competent in the first quarter but I guess the laws of the universe are still in effect.

It's great time to be alive if you're a mediocre white guy who posts like they're Russel Crowe in Gladiator.

Nah it's easy. Just remember, don't rely on solder for the actual connection. Do you best to make a solid mechanical connection between the wires, then use the solder to lock it down. Basically, your circuit should still work if the solder fails.

Spoiler: T. Ocellus’ full name is Terry Ocellus

(I have a friend who works at FX)

These were low cut socks. Life finds a way.

Did that thing again where I'm pulling on a sock and my hand slips off and I punch myself in the balls. 0/10 no recommend.

Really wish I could have been there for that but I was only on the two-day plan this year. Really proud of the whole Solo community on this one. It's been nice seeing people voice support who usually don't speak up much.

I stay pretty quiet here mostly. Not for any particular reason, just ‘cause I’m old and tend to open FB first.

Jags up 10-3 on Carolina and game is delayed due to lightning in the area. If the lightning delay lasts until January 5th, they're in the playoffs.

The current leadership of the club—particularly in Solo and Time Trials—are just overwhelmingly good and kind people. Really a great era for the club.

Sometimes, motorsports gets it.
SCCA Solo Nats competitor is protested on Day 1 in a ladies class for being trans. Protest committee rules aggrieved party should get fucked into the sun. Day 2 the rest of class shows support for the protested party on way to her first run. She would go on to win.
A protest form from the Sports Car Club of America national autocross championships, alleging that a trans woman is not eligible to compete in ladies classes for [reasons]. Ruling of protest committee is that the protest has no basis and protesting party is an asshole. Competitors (the not-asshole kind) in the SSC Ladies class at the SCCA Solo Nationals show support for their colleague who was protested for competing in a class she was not eligible for (spoiler alert: she totally was eligible).

“…a picture of the alien, from the movie… Alien.”

Oh shit thanks senator I thought it was the alien from Godfather II.

You probably didn’t realize this, but circus peanuts are actually a super food. They’re made from tofu and spider sugar (doesn’t hurt the spiders.)
And unnaturally, orange circus peanut, a food clearly invented by an insane person

Yeah it leverages a lot of circle track bits. This car has an underslung Watts in the rear, though, and a progressive pull-bar style third link.

SCCA Solo Nats Camaro adventure in the books. Shockingly benign when pushed. I coned away a trophy, but that allowed the owner to grab the final trophy spot-HIS FIRST EVER!

Driving this thing at SCCA Solo Nationals and honestly couldn’t be more excited. Took a few shakedown runs today in soaking wet conditions and it’s already created a world-class memory.
A 1981 Chevrolet Camaro prepared to the SCCA’s C Prepared rules. It’s cooler than pretty much anything else you’ve ever seen.
