Today's mission was to meet the Northern Pike that broke my line twice last week. We met, but not the way I wanted. It was a wild morning of kayak fishing. I caught 1 Largemouth Bass, 2 Northern Pike, and got soaked in the process. It was a blast!

I had one fish break my line twice while kayak fishing at the Fenton Mill Pond. Ugh! I'll be back my friend. My consolation prize was catching 1 Northern Pike and 2 Largemouth Bass.

Kayak fishing doesn't get much better than this. Another awesome day fishing at the Stiffs Mill Pond in Holly, MI. Caught 6 Largemouth Bass, 3 Northern Pike, and had a great time doing it. Life is good :-)

2 days of early June kayak fishing. Day 1 in Linden: caught a nice Largemouth Bass, went under a low bridge, and saw a cool airboat. Day 2 in Fenton: caught 1 Largemouth Bass and 2 Northern Pike.

Trying to get as many trips as possible in to the Stiffs Mill Pond in Holly, MI before it disappears (due to issues with the Dam). In this video is one of the funnest catches so far this year...a Bass that took 3 casts in a row to land.

I had another awesome day kayak fishing in the Holly Mill Pond. I caught 4 Largemouth Bass, 1 Northern Pike, saw a Duckling's first flight, and had a close encounter with a Blue Heron.

Mid-May fishing at Big 7 lake in the 7 Lakes State Park near Fenton, MI. Only fished this lake once before and I wasn't expecting much. It was a quick fishing trip on a chilly, cloudy, windy day. I caught 2 Largemouth Bass...and one of them was pretty nice.

The Shiawassee river was overrun with weeds so I headed to Lobdell Lake in Argentine, MI for the first time this season. I ran into 1 boater making waves, caught 5 Largemouth Bass, and saw a Northern Water Snake. It was a pretty cool day.

A fun day kayak fishing the Valley and Wildwood lakes at the Holly Recreation Area in the Old Town Sportsman 106 MK. It turned out to be a tiny Bass day...but I got some laughs out of it.

Other than almost throwing my rod into the river it was a fun day kayak fishing the Shiawassee River. I caught 3 Northern Pike and 1 Largemouth Bass. I also got a couple good laughs out of the trip.
