Thank you! This applies to me, and to many of my colleagues. We can’t just up and move due to jobs, family, etc. I also know many teachers who are sticking it out until they get full retirement- they are good teachers who hate what are state is doing to us. So many of us are stuck.

Hello- I am a high school math and science teacher at a rural school in Oklahoma. We are starting a new forensics class and we need help with supplies and equipment. #clearthelist #donorschoose. t.co/avtZcEB6ak

This would explain why I’ve had high schoolers randomly asking me “100 men or 1 gorilla” for the last 3 days….

He is the WORST. He’s under multiple investigations for mismanaging funds. He’s never in his office. He’s run off almost every competent person in the OSDE. He sucks on every level

Online mom’s group have played a huge role in this. They amplify anti-vax voices and downplay risks. They allow the unqualified to give med advice and accuse those who push back of bullying in my experience. Those groups are toxic. MLM culture also plays a role

I can only tolerate it without the cheese. That cheese is just wrong

It’s a huge problem here- we have a massive teacher shortage and no one is taking steps to address it

I know teachers in Okla who have their kids on Medicaid bc the state does not cover anything towards health insurance for your dependents- they only cover the employee. And it costs around $600 a month to cover children on our health plans. Starting salary for teachers here is less than $40k a yr

There is unfortunately no reasoning with these parents

Stitt is an embarrassment to our entire state. He’s spineless and worthless.

FYI- so far this has only passed out of committee and not the full legislature. There’s still a chance to defeat it- call your reps

Fantastic. As a teacher, this is spot on. My school used to have student teachers in the building every year. We’ve had one in the last 3 years. Colleges aren’t graduating teachers, our workforce is aging out, and there’s no one to replace us. It’s bleak

It’s both. Most of them just like the look, but occasionally you have some that are actual fans of the music

He would be a vastly better choice. I don’t particularly like Drummond, but he’s miles better than Walters or Stitt.

If he survives the primary, he will. I’m not convinced he will survive the primary, though.
