This talking point has never made sense. What kind of basketball plays bad for 8 minutes before "getting into a rhythm?" That's not how sports work. When you're on the floor you need to play well, and if you do that you get to play more. It's not the other way around, it never has been

Seems like a pretty arbitrary cut off to me. Maybe the real lesson here is that we should be extending more grace and patience to players who are as young as Rob and being ok with the fact that they need to develop on the bench and not in games

I can see an argument on the step back. But once he establishes the pivot after the step back, the step through is textbook.

First, that is part of development. It's silly to say otherwise. Second, he did become more skilled during his time here. So you're wrong both ways. He also developed his mental skills here. So, three different types of development.
