I’ve believed tech can help people and the planet for quite some time. It’s sad to see that narrative twisted by the far right and a lot of faith being shaken.

I could be way off on this idea, but have any economists ever talked about how high taxes actually *encourage* private investment? When taxes are high people keep money in markets, when they are low people sell at the first sign of trouble. Would be interested to read a theory.

Also happy to see #Oscar recognition for The Substance, Dune, and The Brutalist. Besides those, many others that I look forward to seeing. Usually a great night for the film world, this was one of the better shows.

Anybody worried about TikTok data should keep in mind that Elon and Zuck already have it. They lost my trust a long time ago, and the people regulating them aren’t faring much better lately.

Losing TikTok was the push I needed to delete X and try a social platform I was optimistic about. American leaders and billionaires really stepped in it this time.
