I've long wondered about that very passage and what it meant for our understanding of communion. As a kid I always believed it to be depicting eating more than simply some bread and wine together if some were stuffing themselves and getting drunk. That seemed to be the straight forward reading.

That is very interesting. Thank you bringing this up! I'm studying a bit into the Catholic teachings on the Eucharist and Transubstantiation and such currently, so I'm going to add this into the things I look into as part of my study as I broaden it's scope beyond just the catholic teachings.

This is especially important with the situation in the USA as Christian Nationalism is on the rise promoting and enacting great evils.

Brothers and sisters, let us strive for unity and strive to love our neighbor as ourselves, let us strive to serve the least of these instead of oppressing them.

I've jammed to Dream Theater since late elementary school, so to finally see them live, and in such an amazing venue, being able to feel the music and appreciate the production? Incredible.

Earplugs were a life saver of course, but also I was at the top and at the back of a box literally sitting bar stool style so I could stand and move around without feeling crushed by the constraints of normal seating. While my view wasn't perfect, I could see almost everything and got some good pics
