"If I stop eating shit, the shit-eaters will win! That's why I will continue eating shit, so that the shit-eaters will know that shit-eating is wrong! And if YOU won't eat shit, YOU are the cause of the shit-eating problem!"

She certainly carried a lot of water for the kind of lawyer who still hasn't come to terms with the fact that their profession has rendered itself meaningless.

In fact, if these Great Wheels had turned any faster --why-h then the scofflaws would have gotten away with it!

I don't understand why you'd only allow yourself one book! Are you mad at yourself? Why do you punish yourself so?

Syndrome is actually the exception to this attitude, although his intelligence arguably makes him as much as a Super as anyone else.

The opening scenes depict how the gifted Supers are held back by jealous, mediocre normies. At one point, Mr. Incredible complains about his son's graduation ceremony: "They keep creating new ways to celebrate mediocrity, but if someone is genuinely exceptional..."

"...there are some disturbing elements that are a departure from the first two books." is disturbing in its own right.

Our two solitudes might add some complexity to this exercise, as there are likely albums that are well known to Quebeckers but didn't get any traction outside the region, and vice-versa. I don't know if the Hip are big outside of Montreal.

I strongly suspect that Trump is only concerned with Christians in Nigeria because in his fog of dementia, he thinks that the Nigerian Christians are white. He is conflating Nigeria and South Africa.

When the AI bubble bursts, and it will, environmental regulations could do the same.
