I think that many Japanese people, despite all evidence to the contrary, do not accept that a non-Japanese person can *really* understand Japanese. It *is* odd that they think a computer program can handle it, though.

She certainly carried a lot of water for the kind of lawyer who still hasn't come to terms with the fact that their profession has rendered itself meaningless.

It is smart to do old people things when you're young, because when you do get old, you'll be really good at it, while everyone else wastes their remaining years complaining about how hard it is to be old.

I have been informed by lawyers that I am too stupid to understand the law, and therefore cannot appreciate how quickly the case was being advanced, and that I am unreasonable for expecting that the fine-grinding Great Wheels of Great Justice could move any faster.

Our two solitudes might add some complexity to this exercise, as there are likely albums that are well known to Quebeckers but didn't get any traction outside the region, and vice-versa. I don't know if the Hip are big outside of Montreal.

I strongly suspect that Trump is only concerned with Christians in Nigeria because in his fog of dementia, he thinks that the Nigerian Christians are white. He is conflating Nigeria and South Africa.
