🇰🇷HD Hyundai Heavy Industries held the Keel Laying Ceremony for the 1st HDP-2200 offshore patrol vessel for the 🇵🇭Philippine Navy (yard designation P172) last 05 February 2025 in Ulsan.
Meanwhile the 2nd ship's keel laying ceremony is expected to follow soon.

The 🇵🇭Philippine Navy confirmed that the delivery by 🇰🇷HD HHI of new frigate Miguel Malvar (06) will be pushed to April 2025, with the sendoff ceremony to coincide with the launching of sistership Diego Silang (07).

The 🇵🇭Philippine Navy confirmed that the delivery by 🇰🇷HD HHI of new frigate Miguel Malvar (06) will be pushed to April 2025, with the sendoff ceremony to coincide with the launching of sistership Diego Silang (07).

Our sources confirmed that 🇵🇭 Dept of National Defense & Philippine Navy wanted the acquisition of new frigates to be finalized this year, with support from 🇰🇷 HD HHI to secure construction spot & work continuity once fabrication of 6th HDP-2200 OPV is done & ensure delivery of 1st ship by 2028.

Looks like the 🇵🇭Philippine Air Force is preparing to start the rehabilitation & reactivation of its remaining C-130B with t/n 3633. It has been sitting in Benito Ebuen Airbase for years w/o its propellers, awaiting if its goes to the scrap or not.
