Find me a consumer who thinks their electricity prices have been slashed. It only takes 10 secs. on Google to find that we have some of the highest electricity prices in the world. This is fake news.

Read the article yourself. It's not illegal for them to buy those things....just that they can't use their prepaid cards to buy them. And I managed to reply without being offensive or swearing....you could try the same.

......he built his house 38 years ago and installed one Martin nest box. He has continued to make them and fix them for neighbours....there are now ca 30. Every year the number of breeding pairs increased until maybe 3 years ago....since then a steady decline.

My immediate neighbours and I have about 20 House Martin nest boxes between us. 5 years ago the departing autumn flocks on the wires totalled 200+.....this year we have 4 occupied boxes. It has to be largely down to insect numbers.

Heart-breaking....and we are still failing to grasp the speed and magnitude of these declines. I run a WhatsApp group on nature in my village (started during Covid!).... we have worked out that of the 9 breeding pairs of Swallow 5 years ago, there are now 4.
