It’s one of those words that still confuses me. Based on the contexts I’ve seen it in, I thought it was something like “haughty indifference”. But the dictionary implies I’m the only one who sees the “haughty” part.

We had a member of toastmasters club play with one, and it took him a few weeks to disable it from his account. It showed up on zoom even when he came in person.

No, because LLMs don’t understand context, and generally try to come up with the next most probable word. So ask them a legal question, and it will put together probable words without knowing the words in that order make a legal case that doesn’t exist.

And 1 more important piece. You mentioned he was in prison before. But he found his way out rather quickly. This time, it was obvious he was not coming out.

Do we have any reason to believe this would do Epstein himself any good while he was in jail? If he could have blackmailed himself out of prison, he would have done it sooner. If not, suicide is still the only way he avoids the awful things prison had in store for him.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Amazon prevents robots from crawling its book samples, but I’m not sure either way.

Good point. I should have said your blog stopped it from making up answers. I’ve been listening to podcasts about LLMs, and this need to make things up is the scariest part for me.
