This semester, I retook the class that almost made me drop out of grad school a year ago when I was going through divorce. This class had me convinced grad school was insurmountable & my life was falling apart. Final grades came in for this semester: 100. I can’t express how much this A means to me.

When I was in eating disorder hell, I had a habit of taking pictures of myself and emailing them with mean subject lines. I have since made a concerted effort to find all of these and delete, but every now and then I find another one. It’s sad reckoning with how much I hated myself.
