No worries, I hope I didn't come across as snarky.

It IS one of the best songs ever.

Correction, the West did the gangster state construction. Less intervention would have been better, building unions would have been good.

Being in a hurry is not good management.

You don't hang out in the folk community. This is a very common song there. This version is not the best. No harmony, too slow, and a bit much vocal fry.

Needs to be a Holstein.

Find a dairy farm. Holsteins in the fog are seriously weird. Better in video though.

How long you got?

Iran under Mossadegh.
Guatamala fo United Fruit.

There's a paper from a Foreign Affairs academic that demonstrates that every US foreign intervention furthered the purpose of a US corporation.

Mammoliti was an opportunist who caught the Rae wave. Perruzza came out of the unions (as I recall). They are very different from the school board/activist types.

Also structural supports matter, Neethan Shan is at severe risk of following that path.

On land stolen via blockbusting.

You have to remember that prior to that downtown Toronto residents had no effective political representation at the city due to gerrymandering.
November 22, 2025 at 4:57 PM
Blockbusting uber alles!
November 22, 2025 at 4:26 PM
This is an annoying tension. Common cause should dominate. Inventors need to address this in their proposals. What would that look like?
November 21, 2025 at 9:04 PM
And symmetrically for authors?

Is it time to create collective booking agencies for book clubs?

The only way to increase the investment in labour productivity is to increase the price of labour (and yes, I am deliberately using classical economics language).
November 20, 2025 at 1:49 PM
That is in fact backwards. Actual costs are higher in the suburbs but tax policy subsidizes them. Higher house prices in more urban areas suggests that people really do want to live there.
