That 308 was cheap because it had been repaired after a timing belt broke. But the engine -- which was essentially brand-new internally -- was very strong (for a 308), the cosmetics were nice, and it had full history etc. And not red!

I sold the Aston in frustration a few years later. There was a particular grigio 308 GTS QV that I really should have bought instead. I could have comfortably afforded it and I'd probably still have it.

The races have been decent (surprisingly!) but the way the usual suspects in Vegas jacked up the prices of everything has been a big drag on attendance.

You might if the alternative was a federal investigation that likely would have put you in prison. Getting Trump elected was his best way out, and he took it.
