Panthers win the NFC South. Eagles will host them next season. That had been one of two remaining TBD Eagles opponents. They’ll also host tonight’s Steelers/Ravens winner

This is the first Eagles season since 1997 in which they’ve won multiple games when scoring 13 or fewer points

I don’t often share personal stuff on here, but my daughter got her Master’s degree today. You can now add Hofstra University midyear commencement for places “Go Birds” has been said

The Eagles are assured of a fifth straight winning season for the fourth time in franchise history

That is the most lopsided Eagles shutout victory since December 16, 1990 when they beat the Packers by the same 31-0 score. If Bigsby had scored on that 4th down, it would’ve been their most lopsided shutout since 1981

That is the fewest points the Eagles have scored in a victory since the Jon Runyan/Brian Westbrook kneeldown at Dallas in 2007

My lasting memory of Harry Donahue is listening to a Temple football game I think during the 1990s, but can’t remember the exact year or opponent. Temple had the ball on the 1 yard line with the chance to go ahead late in the game, but lost a fumble and the opponent ran out the clock

Pierre Robert and Harry Donahue…what a terrible day for Philadelphia radio

That Temple game was unreal. One more win for bowl eligibility

Watching Temple-Tulsa. Tulsa has a defensive back named JD Drew. BOOOOOOO!

Don Mattingly finally gets to the World Series. Didn’t even have to trim his sideburns to do it

Many years ago, I found the program from my baptism lying around my grandparents’ house. I evidently was baptized on that same exact day. You’d think I would’ve turned out to be more religious…

Probably the worst I’ve felt about a Temple football loss since the 2016 Military Bowl (the one right after Matt Rhule left for Baylor). The Phillies and Eagles performances this week probably contributed to that, but I suppose it’s a sign that they’re finally headed back in a positive direction

Ranger seems alright after taking a baseball in the groin. No sense leaving him out there though

The Phillies have won three 1-0 games in a season for the first time since they won that many in 2011. Last season with more was 2010, when they won six games by that score

The top NL seed is all but officially out of the question, but the Phillies do have a magic number of 1 to wrap up homefield advantage in the World Series should they get there

In 2008, I was at the Phillies home opener with my dad. We were in section 313. There was a guy a few rows in front of us who looked just like Bernie Parent. But we figured it wasn’t him, because why the hell would Bernie Parent be sitting up there?
