This is the kind of thing where Canadians, with our socialized healthcare, should look at the USA with pity.

However... More than 2x the cases, less than 12% the population.

In 2023 we had 11. ELEVEN! In 2021 we had ZERO.

This is entirely due to antivaxxers.

The soup turned out great!

My new hobby is downvoting each and every YouTube AI Summary it gives me.
A screenshot of the feedback popup that YouTube gives when you downvote an AI Summary. It says, "Tell us more" and then has a list of options to click. "Inaccurate," "Biased," "Inappropriate," "Harmful," or "Other." There is then a text box to enter more feedback. I have entered, "Give me an option to turn off AI summaries." There is then a bit of fibre print about how YouTube will use the feedback, with links to various policies and terms of service, then the "Share Feedback" button.

I honestly think Marvel's "What If...?" is just trolling the worst parts of their fanbase at this point.

Timeline cleanse.

I'm mildly ashamed to say that I wasn't actively aware of Drew Struzan until 2007's "The Mist" when the protagonist played a poster artist and Drew did an Easter egg poster just for the movie.
The poster Drew Struzan made specifically for the movie "The Mist." Center-frame is a stereotypical Sergio Leon-style cowboy, face cloaked in Shadow. He's wearing a tan shirt, brown pants and boots, a tan serape, a wide brimmed hat, gunbelts, and two bandoliers. He's carrying two large revolvers. He's standing on a shoreline, but directly behind him is an iron door floating in the air that is outlined by white light. The left hand of the image, far in the background, is a very tall tower. The right hand of the image is a red rose which is either very large or much closer to the viewer than the cowboy. The entire image is done in warm colours evoking sunset, and above the horizon the sky is cloudy with stars visible where there are no clouds. The image is a reference to Stephen King's "The Dark Tower" series of books, the cowboy being Roland Deschain, the primary protagonist of the series. It's an Easter egg both because the movie "The Mist," is based on a Stephen King story, and because Drew Struzan made the posters used in "The Mist" as the protagonist's portfolio.
