Public radio helped inform those in Western North Carolina impacted by Hurricane Helene in Oct '24 find food and clean water. Without their twice daily broadcast many would have perished.

Having lived in the US for 20 plus years it was astounding to me the number of Americans who had never left their state let alone the country.
