AI is not causing people to kill themselves.. their reality is doing that. You want to prevent people from killing themselves? Change their reality! Someone who wants out but can’t do so easily may resort to hurting others in order to compel someone else to hurt them.

I think there’s too many people on the planet in the first place, so.. I’m fine with declining birth rates. Resources are dwindling so reducing our numbers over time is the sensible path. BUT you’re right that immigration is a good thing, so long as never too many people in one area—bad for planet.
