Really sad to hear of Cal Seerveld's passing. Sigh. I so appreciated Wes' tribute:

"Seerveld had no patience for Christians who reduce the gift of artistry to sentimental presentations that evade the hard edges of reality and placate the emotions."

“Art can save your life.”

@joshjohnsoncomedy.bsky.social is as kind and insightful as ever with yesterday’s release. It’s a great introduction to the impact and importance halftime show over all, but, if you only have a few minutes, the last five minutes are worth everyone’s time.

“If the OCR follows through on its promises, it would be an unprecedented exercise of federal influence over university activities.”

Not being able to conduct research/scholarship on ‘black listed’ topics while silencing the stories & voices of students are clear signals to destroy the University.
