Day 11: favorite Dragoon character. Kain has the drip for sure but Freya is leagues above the other Dragoons in terms of personality and has a compelling story, even if it could have used more focus in the game.

Day 9: Favorite Battle System. While the obvious answer to this for me is FFT, I'm going to instead say I think Final Fantasy X's battle system was the most polished and promising, even if the game itself could have had more depth. Its combat got refined in future games like Dragon Quest XI.

Day 8: Best cutscene. This is a really rough one but it has to be the FFIX ending. To be perfectly honest, I can't watch this scene without crying. Every time. FFX ending is the same, but IX hits me harder somehow.

Day 6: Worst NPC. I really can't decide, but I was annoyed by most of the side quest NPCs in FFXVI so let's go with this guy.

Day 4: best protagonist is Ramza Beoulve, the realest and most based hero in the series. Didn't get or even want recognition for doing what's right, but I recognize him.

Day 3: worst is Final Fantasy XV. What a complete mess! I still like it in spite of how it fails on every level but I have to pick something.

Day 2: Final Fantasy Tactics. It's got my favorite storyline in the series and the best version of the job system. I've played it so many times I can't even count. I've actually played it to death and don't know if I will again. But maybe!

I definitely agree with the top two. I have watched them every year with my kids and won't stop until they no longer want to see them. MCC may even be the most entertaining adaptation of the novel. There is something magical about how low stakes Family Christmas is.
