I am really about to fix up my iOS 12 iPhone and go back to living under a rock, with the only internet access being on my computers.

It’s like Google thinks to themselves, “Oh shit, this user knows about the internal workings of their device, let’s lock them out of our services!”.

To clarity, it’s the fact that device fingerprints have to be stolen/leaked for Google device integrity to pass for some functionality. These fingerprints are revoked/banned after some time when Google find out about them. And it’s impossible to get your custom ROM certified, of course.

It’s almost like we don’t even have the choice anymore and the thought of that is super depressing to me.

nd why the fuck can’t I use Google Pay on a rooted device or device with a custom ROM on it? It’s honestly the arrogance on Google’s part that does it for me.

Add to that that more and more apps have arbitrary and often times unnecessary device integrity requirements and the result is that I simply don’t want to recommend Android devices to my family anymore.

And by the way, how is the karaoke feature on iOS? Is it comparable to stem splitter on Logic?
