Banana Bread just edges out Brown Sugar Cinnamon, but it's available very sporadically

I used my Amazon severance pay to replace my broken laser cutter/engraver. I'm really looking forward to playing with it after the holidays.

Stegosaurus and Dr. Teeth. Unless we're going with the extended Henson puppets, in which case definitely Boober Fraggle.

I wish we could go back to the days where this was the level of embarrassment governments regularly provided.

I've had the ice cream sundae A&W - it was shockingly good. Probably not something you'd want to drink often, but still good.

Autumn wants to use it to make a float, but I don't think it'd add anything.

It was probably one of those atmospheric rivers coming through. Sudden gust of wind.

This exactly. The linked article was incredulous that they were crunching for a demo, but you nailed it. And likely where the blame lies too (Sony). Naughty Dog leadership obviously did a shit job negotiating realistic deliverable dates, but they're probably doing the mandatory overtime out of fear.

It's a tough balance - a lot of what you work on is pretty obviously both "work" and also a passion project. That said, as you approach burnout, everything you do suffers (and it takes more hours, making things worse). These days, I actively try to limit myself to 40h (though I slip a bit sometimes)

I expected the DMX Christmas songs to be awful, based on the name of the playlist, but they were both really good!

Journalism is Serious Business, Susan! You're speaking to a Professional. You must show respect to the Star Wars font.

I had a package reportedly delivered to a storage locker. Phone line runs on east coast hours. Went to the post office first thing, was told that the carrier said they delivered it. Left a note for the carrier in the mailbox, they showed up confused with the package that was in the truck.

I bet this haunts you every day :D

Karl Urban is a treasure. I like to pair Dredd with the Colin Farrell Total Recall, since they're both underappreciated revisits to "classic" sci-fi cheese.

Also, the best takeaway from that article is that, given the opportunity, Kohler does NOT say that customer photos aren't used to train AI. This means they are, and that it's likely that humans are looking at them to categorize them properly.

Besides that, just from the product description, obviously they look at the data. That seems to be the whole point. "End-to-end" (lol, end = butt) is used by encrypted chat apps for one meaning, but I've seen it in many design documents to mean the same thing Kohler is saying.

Can you set it to automatically text the photo to your siblings? That's the only intended use I can think of.

Use it to write the emails that describe how you're using it

I was a younger dude when I started, but reading Scalzi has turned me into a middle aged dude. Or maybe it was just time. One of those, definitely.

I like playing the "How bad is the difference between replacing this now or waiting until it breaks" game.

When I saw that ad, I genuinely felt bad for the actor.

Now that I know that this is another sad "influencer" it's significantly funnier. Now the question is, did he write this as some kind of sad fantasy, or is there a marketing team this misguided/malicious out there.

If it's $599 with a controller, then it's definitely gonna kick the Series X off the TV stand. Not sure how much more than that I'd go though - $899 feels like a hard pass.
