I’m barely just short of a “defund the police” liberal, so it’s not like I’m sitting here saying the cops are heroes— but it’s possible to recognize stark differences, even if just in leadership, because it starts somewhere.

I can come away from an interview of someone who specifically was talking about changes made since then and say “If this is what they say and they follow it up with action, that’s good.” Actions obviously matter more— but this was explicitly about changes since then.

yup-- there are absolutely still bottlenecks and still real problems, but anyone with strong skills who spends time with AI in the last say... 10 months and even more so in the last 4 months who doesn't come away with "holy shit there's no going back" is lying IMO.
