I cannot believe that we are living in a time where gestalt trumps science; where politics supersedes public health, and where the ideas of one man hold more value that the recommendations of experts in the field. We are living in dangerous times.

Removing experts from regulatory positions because it does not fit a certain political narrative is shortsighted and downright dangerous.
