My kid is on a Girl Scout sleepover, so I got to go on a date with @genevievetocci.bsky.social to finally visit @sidequestbooks.bsky.social and play some pinball! ❤️

Ran “So You Got a Job on the Garbage Barge” for my 7-year-old. I asked what 3 things her character could do. She said she was an alicorn named Lola who could fly, make potions, and calm down bad guys with her horn, like those Care Bears I told her about. She drew a nice character sheet.

My kid asked me to read her this children’s book yesterday about a pair of mice who get married, move into a dollhouse, and have babies on Christmas Day. Pretty cute. Of course, my big takeaway was, “Check out this map! This would make a great RPG.”

My 7-year-old drew me a picture of me in a crown (I must be a king, she reasoned, since she is a princess) experiencing the effects of a flatulent monster.

I suppose I'm willing to suffer for her art.

At this point I’m just playing an anti-Gorr deck to make myself feel better about spending a spotlight key to get Havoc again. (Not a fancy Havoc variant, mind you—just Havoc again, converted into a handful of tokens, instead of one of the many cards I do not have.)
