I work on games and stuff. If you need help bringing your project to consoles or other platforms, we can do that. Check http://kittehface.com for some examples!
I was trying to think of what kinds of things would pull me away from Steam as a consumer.

Hilariously, I honestly think the most effective thing would be if Steam got purchased by a publicly traded company like Amazon. It'd become an ad-ridden mess as they tried to squeeze the pennies out of it.

Maybe they changed this, but as someone who likes equipment tinkering, my god the picto equipping process was frustrating. You have to bounce between like three displays to see what things do, what people currently have, and what things are learned VS not.

I ended up using StartAllBack to replace the terrible Win11 start menu and task bar.

That particular Update call won't, but the game as a whole will keep going, yes. The next object will get Update() called, etc.

I would guess the same thing happens on an Assert but don't use them often.

This kind of thing will happen in Unity sometimes. If an object's Update has a null reference or similar failure, it'll die and the Update won't finish, but anything up to that point will have executed. The game will carry on.

I'm picturing a weird looking Elden Ring that doesn't have object permanence.

Baroque, originally for the Saturn but I believe there was a PS2 version.

Hey, not bad! I forgot the related objects button even existed. Big thanks!

Zardoz is weird and interesting and audacious, and yet still kind of boring. What an experience.

I unironically love the wonky wolf logo.

I owned a copy of this back in the day and I'm not sure I ever finished a single mission successfully.

Ordered a copy, because Hemasaurus is here to save us all.

I read this as Altivec at first and was kind of confused.

I was shocked to discover shacknews still exists and is being updated.

It's all about Camping with Steve, man. No reviews, just, let's see what it's like to overnight in a drainage tunnel, I'll cook Knorr rice with hotdogs in it.

Does anything have that many players? Minecraft maybe?
July 3, 2025 at 8:24 PM
I think it's worth noting that everything, literally everything, on Play or App Store is destined to do this. Google and Apple expect the developer to actively update things to keep up with rule changes.

Eventually they get pulled down, and owners can no longer install them on their next device.

My first thought was that they didn't make it open-world-with-microtransactions enough.
