As long as Supreme Court justices are chosen based on politics, no number is safe from one side getting enough to hijack the court.

Tyranny of the proletariat is still tyranny. Ultimately, a single person rises to the top, and the only people getting sacked are those deemed enemies of the state.

How much ram is even necessary for the average user who browses the web, streams videos and plays some games? I have 16 gig, a ton of steam games, including Elden Ring, and have never felt the need to add ram.

If you take the long view of the ideals that originated it and how over 2 centuries it has moved, but not always consistently, to better embrace those ideals, the issues you cite come not from the system itself, but from those who seek to subvert it.

I had this issue back in the day.

That's not how they were stupid. They knew his moral failings but just didn't care.

They're stupid because they voted for the same guy who ALREADY had been president and his presidency had been an absolute dumpster fire. It's like going back to a barber four years after he set your hair on fire.

Reminds me of Homer Simpson insisting he had saved Lenny's life by destroying Lenny's egg salad sandwich.

You can audit all you want, but once you promote distrust in the system, nothing will satisfy people who are convinced the other side must have cheated because of such and such 'logic'.
December 6, 2025 at 6:48 PM
How is this kind of evidence free accusation any different from what Trump and his supporters did in 2020?

Attending the inauguration of the opposing party is a sign of respect for our system. Lack of respect for our system is not a lesson worth learning.

A big pet preeve is when institutions assume everyone has an internet connected smart phone and provides no alternative. I'd go to my kid's high school theater production and couldn't buy a ticket with cash and had to scan a QR code and download a pdf if you wanted a program with the cast.

Still on same no frills washer for last 20 years. By myself, I replaced the door switch twice and the main control unit once.

Agree on the Walz item. Not convinced going hard left and anti-Israel would have swayed many Trump voters to switch to Harris.

What would you have done differently if you had been put in charge of her campaign after Biden had dropped out?

I thought storage meant energy storage like batteries to capture wind and solar during times when more energy is being produced than can be used and save it when less energy is being produced.

And economists would say product substitutes are one of the ways consumers use when faced with... wait for it... INFLATION!
