As a young teen in the 80s, I remember seeing a production of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. I was transfixed and read as much Stoppard that my library carried.
Imo, he should have won the oscar for the Brazil screenplay with Terry Gilliam rather than for Shakespeare in Love.
