Booked a show at the largest local venue in my hometown for underground metal for a “Battle of the Bands”. No money was up for grabs, it was a pay-to-play show (big scam), and our guitarist left the band the same night. The best part? We drew the largest crowd, second to last before the headliner ☠️

100% agree. the fear shows the belief you have in your art, and it’s a natural part of releasing anything. it partly comes from the reception once it’s out, but like you put it, being able to manage it and turn it positive is part of the journey to creating lasting art 🤘🏻
