If you're at a Red Sox home game and you want to send me a song request, this is the best place to do it. If you prefer to send it via Twitter, that's okay. If you prefer to send it via some other means, I may or may not see it in time. Thanks! Let's have an awesome Red Sox season together! ⚾ 🎹

I'm in the band for this cavalcade of all-stars on Friday. Are you kidding me with this lineup?! Tickets at citywinery.com/boston/event...
A poster for a variety show called "Wesley Stace's Cabinet of Wonders" happening at City Winery in Boston this Friday. Pictured on the poster are Willie Loco Alexander, Tanya Donelly, James Parker, Matthew Caws, Wesley Stace, Dave Hill, Patrick Stickles, and Ryan Walsh.

For better or worse, yes.

There's songs I know how to play, ones I'm familiar with & just need a run-thru, ones I'm slightly familiar with & need to listen to figure them out, ones I've never heard & need to listen 2-3 times to learn (which I usually end up forgetting). Duration is 30-120 seconds, so I can cut corners there.

Some day, I'll realize how foolish this is. Until then, here's another year-end list from New England's biggest & weirdest covers gig.
Screenshot of a list of the 741 songs I played by request this year on the Fenway organ (DM me if you need a text version of the list to be able to read it).

The two starting pitchers in tonight's do-or-die Red Sox vs. Yankees playoff game have played a combined 18 Major League games and 12 Triple-A games in their entire careers.

I have no opinion on this, other than I find it fascinating.

Well, at least I made it to October before the annual reminder that I forgot where my coat is and how to put it on.

The legendary Dr. Dre achieves his lifelong dream of having one of his most iconic songs in a Goodyear tire commercial. #playoffs

Watching Ceddanne Rafaela play centerfield makes me feel like I’m watching Jackie Bradley Junior Junior.

Breggie makes me preggie.*

*I’m not proud of this post, but I’m pretty drunk right now (on adrenaline and lemonade).

Alex Bregman extends the lead for the Red Sox, 3-1.

Very thoughtful of MLB to pay tribute during these playoffs to the 200th birthday of Austrian operetta composer Johann Baptist Strauss II, which occurs on the same day as Game 2 of this year’s World Series.

ESPN is so excited about this Red Sox vs. Yankees playoff series that they just showed a commercial for the Red Sox vs. Yankees playoff series during the first game of the Red Sox vs. Yankees playoff series in the first inning of the Red Sox vs. Yankees playoff series.

Another September has come and gone without me learning the words to "September."

Closing out the Fenway organ's regular season with The Three Degrees' "When Will I See You Again." #PreciousMoments 🤞

Feeling alright about that 6th-inning medley of "Love Will Keep Us Together" into "Love Will Tear Us Apart."

BOS won't know until tomorrow where they open the playoffs, unless: 1) BAL beats NYY today (1:05pm), and 2) TOR beats TBR today (3:07pm), and 3) Either BOS beats DET today (4:10pm) or TEX beats CLE today (7:15pm). In which case BOS will open against NYY.

I'm still working, Jerry.

I take zero credit for tonight's playoff-clinching come-from-behind walk-off victory, but I did put this (clearly) handmade "LET'S RALLY" sign up on the big screen when the Sox were trailing 3-1 in the 7th, and then they scored one in the 7th, one in the 8th, and one in the 9th.

If that wasn't one of the three all-time best medleys of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" into Maceo Parker's "Elephant's Foot" into Andrea & Matteo Bocelli's "Fall on Me" into Tomoyasu Hotei's "Battle Without Honor or Humanity," then it's back to the drawing board for me.

Finally, a request that makes some sense.

Coming up shortly. (It reminds me of an old friend -- not your spouse, I promise -- who loved this song but who turned out to unironically enjoy being a colossal jerk).

@jtkantor.bsky.social hey Josh, it's my spouse's birthday! He's now off the vintage to unironically enjoy agèd slacker rock. Could we hear some "Gold Soundz" tonight?

Photo of Linda Pitmon taking a selfie of The Baseball Project standing together on a stage with the theater seating behind them. Mike Mills, Linda, and Scott McCaughey (L-R) are in the front row; Peter Buck and Steve Wynn (L-R) are in the back row. To the right of Scott's head, I've inserted a traditional yellow smiley face to imply the guest performer.
