Rabid Wolf Spider (Rabidosa rabida) - #Arachtober 8
Not as bad as it sounds. It doesn't mean it has rabies. The Rabida scientific name from Latin translates to extremely violent, furious, or unfavorable behavior. Found in South Tex.

The Confusing Furrow Bee has a holarctic (across Eurasia and N America) distribution, meaning her ancestors crossed the Bering Land Bridge. When I see one visit clover (not native to the US) I like to imagine that she is enjoying “a taste of the old country”. #bees #insects #macrophotography

A life update: this wound up paying off. I'm still applying to several jobs that are hopefully careers, but I've got my survival needs covered by a job at the airport that I'm apparently pretty good at.

And instead of being in an office alone, which was driving me mad, I see 20k people a day.

Thanks! He is really beautiful. Funnily enough on the next flower over was the saddest looking most worn male bee (same species) I’ve ever seen - given that his only jobs are to mate and to feed himself I don’t really get why his life seems to have been so rough.
