In Switzerland we use type J, which is quite nice: very compact, also goes « inside the wall » if using modern sockets. But no fuse

G is safe because it’s super sturdy and fused . But it’s sooooooo big ! Like power bar need to be 1m long for 4 sockets 😅

In 1996 you could game all your heart’s content with a pentium 75 and a S3 Virge 1mb.
For a few years a good 2D card (Matrox Millenium was a popular choice) paired with a 3DFX was the way to go anyway.
Then I was too poor to get anything beyond my Virge, my first proper GPU was an ATI

Is the point of asking technically complex questions for which the average person has no facts, to the average person ? I think the gouvernement spends too much, you think it doesn’t. Where does that lead us ?

I’m European and our cultures are somewhat different, but do Americans really feel being asked how your day has been is « good service »? I mean the question is not genuine(especially when being forced to ask), and you’re not gonna start answering truthfully either, so what is the point ?

Don’t shoot me, but I kinda miss the old Twitter algorithmic discovery. I would discover a lot of nice content that way. Bluesky is like the old twitter in a lot of ways, but discovery is meh, I feel like I am stuck with the few accounts I follow as opposed to the « window to the world » before

Modern tools make it easy for people to confidently expressed what they know nothing about. I love being lectured about what my job is by people who never wrote a line of code or never managed software engineers 😅
