Because as much as he's my favorite character, I would never want to be around someone like him in real life. I've met plenty. Even my dad is a lot like that. Jax is wonderfully written as a character. I love his character design. I even hope he gets better and grows.

He's hurting. He's panicking. That's relatable and makes sense. But the lines are drawn there for me. I've made mistakes and hurt people and myself. I've grown as a person. I took the hand of those reaching out to me. Even when it meant fearing losing them. I've also let people go that are like Jax

Causing harm to those around him under the guise of it being funny, but not being able to take what he dishes out. He wants to be able to have friends but he can't let it happen. He's traumatized by something, but trauma is not an excuse to traumatize other people, which he's doing.

We are all going to see it differently of course, but I think what solidifys him as a bad person is the refusal to change his behavior. Going so far as pushing everyone away but expecting them to adhere to his ideals at the same time. Nottaking responsibility for his actions.
