The fact RFK Jr had not heard of these things did not mean the rest of us had not. I’m about his age and when I was a kid we had an Autistic child in our neighborhood. We all knew him.

On car tariffs: not just buying the car gets more expensive, so does the sales taxes and the property taxes and insurance that get levied based on the purchase price of that car for as long as you own it. There are going to be a lot more junkers on the road.

When I was a student in Leningrad, it was the summer Nixon resigned. We got all our news via VOA and the BBC. Closing the VOA is another blow to US soft power and does real damage.

When my mother was deep into dementia, the thing she NEVER forget were persons she felt had disrespected her and how. Grudges never got lost. Trump has a lot of grudges…. And it seems to be the only thing motivating him now.

I seem to remember that the nut that got elected president of Argentina likes to wave chainsaws around. Very dangerous toy. Elon could lose a body part.

I kept my maiden name when I married, but my birth certificate has a different middle name (close but not identical) than the one my parents gave me and I’ve used forever. Wonder if that would disenfranchise me.
