Humanity has lived it all before. Following my Dad’s lead, I began reading history seriously at about 16 y/o. We know the playbooks, all of them, but sadly keep repeating them.

Many good people have taken it on themselves to keep records. We can only pray that in a just world, the law breakers will be held accountable one day. Prisons are full of folks who broke far fewer laws and caused far less damage to their fellow man.

If they read a page or two of history they would know appeasing a bully or a dictator is a bottomless pit. They cannot be appeased. Giving in only whets their appetite

OMG, my cat loves to play catch with a cloth ball which he first dunks in his water bowl. He will sit patiently in front of me with the disgusting thing in his mouth until I give in and play.
