Sometimes this country makes you think you'll never see the sun again. Then, just when you've lost hope, it makes an appearance.

These photos were taken around this time last year, at Boston Manor House

First time l've ever been able to do something decent with watercolour pencils.

Mixed with 'normal' watercolour and graphite. The second image is my favourite part of the drawing.

Titled 'Café Euphrosyne’, this gouache painting was the first of a series about friendship and how precious it is

Latest sketch. Still exploring.

It was an interesting coincidence to see the Barbara Walker exhibition at the Whitworth Gallery not long after I started playing more with graphite. It was a good reminder that drawing is art.

Another mixing of graphite pencils 14B and B.

I had the reference photo saved since 2021! From a Simone Rocha photoshoot by Andrew Nuding

First time using a graphite 14B pencil and I really like the contrast with the B one

Usually when I draw with a reduced colour palette I have to change some colours from what they were in real life, but not for this woman. She was only wearing tones of pink, red and turquoise.

Respect to this lady who clearly put love, time and effort into her look.
