La salud de las personas entre 55 y 69 años ha mejorado notablemente desde el inicio de la democracia en España, pero su tasa de empleo se ha reducido a la mitad.

Estimaciones muestran que los hombres podrían trabajar 8 años más y las mujeres 6 años más, sin deterioro de salud.
