My brain is starting to come out of the months long fog it’s been in. I don’t usually do Elizabethan dress but it’s fun to change things up from time to time. Still have skirts and accessories to handle, but I think the hardest part is done.

Sewing cat helps again.
Finally shaking off the mental dust and jumping back in to sewing. Going to miss going to #joannfabrics for random inspiration. Very happy with the silk match for the hat. Just over a month to get this look together for the annual #victorianparty!

The little gala apple tree is trying to make a return! I went to dig it up to plant the Fuji and noticed a few small buds. I thought Petra had completely killed the poor thing but it’s fighting to survive. Put a fence around it to try and keep the dog from finishing the job.

New Fuji apple tree ordered to replace the gala Petra chewed to oblivion. I’ve also ordered raspberry bushes. Now to find some good pots to grow those in.

It’s time to goth up the living room and bit and say goodbye to my millennial grey and white. It was a good placeholder while I really decided on an overall theme. Exploring Benjamin Moore paints find just the right color. Might need to pick up a few swatches.

Two different pairs of #kennethjaylane earrings from the let them eat cake line are in the shop! Turns out when I like something I get all the versions of (and then end up only using one or two versions).

Planning in the works for more backyard gardening this year, and relieved to see everything we’re considering growing requires full sun. Who knows, maybe one day we’ll have a greenhouse. We have the space for it!

Every time something sells I feel just that much closer to being debt free. The house feels lighter and less cluttered. It just feels much more peaceful.

Back to the regular method of decluttering! This necklace set didn’t make it to the yardsale (the car simply had no more room!). I love the look of it, but I never end up wearing. It deserves to be with someone who will!

I wanted to make a straw hat to go with my plaid Victorian bustle. The black straw just arrived, and I’m thinking I’ll make the #trulyvictorian hat again. It turned out really well the first time I made a straw version. Now, do I want the hat accent fabric to be the yellow or burgundy?
