Fierce Democrat going back to McGovern. Loved Biden. Proud to have supported Harris. Voracious reader. Lover of Italian Opera. Art History a passion. Lincoln nerd. I’m weirdly committed to punctuating posts. No DM's please. Happy to engage via posts.
Southwest has one of the worst, least customer friendly policies during this Thanksgiving period of air traffic slowdowns and cancellations. I’m disgusted!

Here's an another ANTIFA meeting, years later. Gen Girard, Free Free Fources, Roosevelt, DeGaulle, Churchill. We have come a long way indeed.

This is how it works. Long. Tedious. Never going to happen with the current VP/Cabinet/Congress. We have to stop fantasizing about this.

Zelensky today is the leader of the free world. His attitude recalls Churchill’s immortal words. Thankfully, Roosevelt was president during WWII. Can only imagine what Trump would have been willing to give away.

What was destroyed. It was an act of repulsive vandalism by people with taste level of Saddam Hussein. Let's hope they don't gild the columns.

“Leaders must follow” the example of ordinary citizens. Yes, I see that is where we are now. But what then makes them leaders??

Just leaving this here.

And here are key takeaways that make sense, especially the last point.

Love that you post Danish, Norwegian artists. I was an art history major and this kind of thing was just never covered in European painting. I had a professor who taught about Hungarian art in the 1800 - 1900's. Loved that since I am Hungarian. Here's one, Mihály Munkácsy, detail from a painting.

Great play on words. But I think schmegge is more accurate. (Schlemiel is too kind.)

ETTD. How many times does that need to be affirmed? Meanwhile this is the losing candidate’s comment. Wondering if any losing US Republican has this much grace or patriotism.

Richest guy in the world has no balls. Who knew? Someone alert Sanchez before the trillion dollar wedding.

Yet. We do not deport citizens yet is what he should have said since his bloated orange love object has already spoken of "deporting US citizens."

Terrible headline. Democrats in Congress erupt. Republicans approve of the arrest. "Said Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.): "If she broke the law, she needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent. No double standards." Trump is a convicted felon.

Maybe we go back in time to normal America (it wasn’t that long ago) & see what happened to a far more qualified, respected,& actual “warfighter,” Gen Petraeus. He shared classified information with his biographer. Look it up.

Suing is a great idea. Meanwhile, @schumer.senate.gov @duckworth.senate.gov @Hold a presser and use Katie Porter type Whiteboard. Try to get a fix on what DOGE cost us vs what it delivered in savings via "waste, fraud, abuse." Something like this. Ask Katie for help. Or @rbreich.bsky.social.
