Just because you see the world one way doesn't mean that's actually how it is.

People have a position based on their personal opinion rather than evidence and lived experience of others.

This is what is happening with discussions regarding gender identity.

It's really sad when people think their personal experience defines reality for everyone else. For example, my mil one time went to a waffle house and swears she was served a frozen waffle. Now, she thinks all Waffle Houses only serve frozen waffles.
