Excited to share our new paper, where we propose that inefficient anticipatory mechanisms may represent a common underlying thread linking the spoken language, reading, and handwriting difficulties associated with dyslexia.

We hosted a workshop in Amman brining together teachers, teacher trainers, the Jordanian ministry of education, and our partners Queen Rania Foundation. We discussed our research findings and received very valuable feedback and suggestions for our work on oral language development in Jordan 🇯🇴

Excited to be co-leading the language development module this term with my brilliant colleague Dr Joanna Kolak! We had our first session today and got to know our students who come from the UK, USA, China, Hong Kong, Greece, and Mongolia ! Looking forward to teaching and learning from them 😊

First day back to work ! Had a very busy day delivering two workshops to over 50 teachers from 10 schools across South London. The focus of the workshop was on SLCN and discussed strategies and resources necessary for creating inclusive,communication-supporting classrooms. @ucl-ioe-cie.bsky.social

Some reflections on Term 1... This BUSY term allowed me to appreciate teamwork more. Got to teach and work with incredible UCL students who have great potential and supportive colleagues who taught me so much. Feeling very grateful for these opportunities. Happy Holidays! 🎄
