I think making the player poke around the corners of the setting, like drainage pipes and bushes etc, to find the hint coins was such a brilliant way to draw the player into the setting too

playing these games growing up was so influential to my sense of aesthetics. when I imagine a cozy storybook village, folsense is still exactly what comes to mind
