but the cost runs about $70K. Medicare picks up the entire tab; the whole process from discovery to start of treatment took about 2 weeks. I'll take Australia's healthcare any day and twice on Sunday.

I was paying roughly $10K a year for insurance in the US back in 2010. I moved permanently to Australia in 2011, and have never exceeded more than a few hundred dollars a year in out-of-pocket costs. I am now about to start radiation treatment for something that's not life threatening.......
