An artist that inspired me early in my career is Behrooz Roozbeh, his texture and material work are always top notch and he was one of the first people to do tileable textures in Zbrush I think. www.rooz3d.net I was lucky to work with him on a project a while back

If you can watch it from the beginning, i'd recommend that but whatever season you can find is an okay place to start. Also, not historical but if you want silly plot and gorgeous clothes, Emerald City is wild! 😄

Call the Midwife is my go-to for cozy costume drama. Costumes are cute but not as fancy as Gilded Age I guess

I completely agree with Maria's points. I often find that if the realistic piece is the weakest in a portfolio it would be better to take it out entirely
