As a native Washingtonian, this hurts on multiple leveIs. We mourned Notre Dame when it burned. The White House, US Capitol, The Washington and Lincoln Monuments are DC’s and America’s iconic landmarks. For me, it feels like watching Notre Dame go up in smoke, but in this case, it is arson.

The Congressional map can/will be revised again after 3 election cycles after the 2030 census, so the intent is to not gerrymander forever if it’s not a necessary countermeasure- which right now it is. Share that with those who have doubts.

Yes, understood. I’m just noting that these places truly didn’t ask for this and that’s why they are being punished. And the places that did are being left alone, for the most part.
