I like to teach chair pose as a straight down action and pressing straight up into the belt helps students feel that. Sometimes you have to help them forgot all the other cues.

Graded return to activity is a key component of resilience. Introducing variability in load and kinematics plays a big part. I wonder if we left the alignment paradigm earlier if fewer people would have abandoned yoga in the 2010s.
