They will always put profit over people and it is up to people to say “that is not morally right”. We can stand up to them; we just need the political will to do it.

Don't forget what trump said on the access hollywood tape: when you're famous they let you do [anything]. He wants to be famous more than even wealthy (altho being wealthy can help; it's hard to be famous and poor.)

I agree we need to focus on acts of love. Yesterday, I witnessed a transit supervisor looking out for the needs of a disabled person who had been riding the bus and sleeping in their motorized chair, such that the driver had worried about them. They were fine, just wanted to ride the bus all day.

So... I think you're making a joke (my ND makes me very literal) but I'm curious about which ethicists are fully human? I am a care ethicist. People have infinite value and we are obligated to care about their existence. But the thing that makes us human is moral responsibility.

My worry for you is they’re working on ways to kick people like you out.

It’s all about the money and money laundering.

As this is a draft I feel like they’ll eventually drop the DNA thing and then people will believe they aren’t asking for too much.

Thanks for the reference to "seems to run on electricity"! Random things also make me think of movie quotes! 🤩

She was taking French when she decided it was too easy and switched to German instead.

As a 67 year old, I can attest that this is true. My role model was a 90-something aunt who took university classes in foreign languages and walked at least an hour each day.

This needs amplification! One thing they said in the video was about manufacturing consent, which got me to look up that book (and concept) and now I have to read more:
