Back when I had the leagues thing turned on I would stress way more about XP and stuff but now it’s so much more chill 😌 I prefer to worry about keeping my streak and learning some vocab every day, and surprisingly I do use some vocab now thanks to Duolingo??

i spent most of my day wondering if it’s ok to just write ‘Hello [first name]’ to my german supervisor since he has a phd and formalities are super important in germany, but also he signed off with only his first name and wrote ‘Hello Julia,’ to me 🫠

wait no this doesn’t even make sense, i’d still have to choose between spanish and portuguese hh tho i always choose portuguese if i have the option, but i feel like here in germany it’s easier to find a spanish version

also, i can’t wait for the day when i can finally read han kang in korean!! it might take some years but wow i have to reread her books in the original language one day

whenever i want to read a translated book i never know which language i should read it in… sometimes it’s easy to choose, like if idk the original book is in italian, then it makes sense to read it in portuguese or spanish bc they’re both more similar to italian than german or english
