Please meet my new spirit animal who has approached me several times…an Australian Raven. Usually ravens & crows don’t let people closer than about 50 metres…this one landed about three metres away. I must add that my perennial spirit animals-butterflies and dragonflies-made an appearance today too.

I think we’re going to be up for crunchy grass and dust bowl conditions this summer. 36C today and it’s only mid Sept… first month of Spring in Australia.
