It was such a beautiful day. Many of my staff who had been at the DOL for years said it was the most touching event they’d been to. Community members came from all over the country.

After the disgraceful firing of BLS Commissioner @erikamcentarfer.bsky.social last month, BLS staff knew that an honest Aug Jobs Report would incur the wrath of the Trump admin. But they did their jobs anyway. Unlike Trump World, BLS employees are unwilling to protect their own jobs above all else.

The hardworking & talented investigators at the DOL have an underrated skill in convincing workers to talk about abuses in their workplace even when those workers face retaliation for doing so. Today, those investigators are the ones speaking up about abuses in their own workplace.
